For fans of “Project Runway,” you’ll easily recognize Filipina evening wear designer Veejay Floresca because of her win in the most recent season of the show and also as the first-ever trans designer to win the competition. On Monday, February 16, 2026, the final day of New York Fashion Week (NYFW), Floresca made her NYFW debut and unveiled her FW26 — Fall/Winter 2026 — women’s and men’s evening wear collection at the Ritz Carlton New York, NoMad in New York city.

We had a chance to see her in action backstage and before the event at NYFW where she paid meticulous attention to every detail and jumped in where needed to ensure a flawless event.

About the Brand: Established in the U.S. in 2021, Veejay has built her eponymous label around made-to-order, slow fashion; a sustainable path that allows her to create intimately with clients while honing her craft. She focuses on evening wear and bridal wear, while taking an architectural approach to design with feminine but structured silhouettes.
