A Focus on Fashion: Norma Kamali SS26 at NYFW

When we think of Fashion Week, what often comes to mind are lavish sets within jaw-dropping spaces, models floating down the runway to the lights, music, and other special effects all coming together for that perfect Instagram or TikTok moment.
But during our visit to the Norma Kamali presentation held at their office headquarters, it was all about the clothes and the beauty of the SS26 — Spring/Summer 2026 — collection and nothing else. Similar to our last visit during NYFW in February of this year, the clothes were once again simply displayed on mannequins lined up in formation, ready and standing at attention.
No distractions, but a true fashion experience stripped to its essence — the clothing and nothing else.
For the SS26 season ahead, the legendary designer created a collection filled with monochromatic black and white, pink and lavender-hued pieces with touches of metallic. From floor-length gowns, to sportswear separates, swimwear and flouncy mini dresses, Kamali put a spotlight on timeless and chic day and evening looks for today’s woman.
