Opening night red carpet highlights at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival featured the cast of “Mother” — a film about Mother Teresa and a pivotal time in her life when she decides to leave her convent and start her own order.

The film, directed by Theona Strugar Mitrevska, stars Noomi Rapace and costar Sylvia Hoeks, and premiered at the festival on August 27, 2025.
