Zendaya and Anna Sawai — Twinning at the Met Gala 2025

With another glamorous Met Gala in the books, the May 5, 2025 event may have been more memorable for the accidental “twinning” that occurred on the arrivals red carpet. While there were many beautiful looks during the arrivals, two actresses gave social media critics and fashionistas plenty to discuss.

Twinning at the Met Gala 2025

While their arrival times were well spaced, Zendaya hit the red carpet first wearing a tailored, white Louis Vuitton suit with matching vest, tie, white shirt and wide brim hat. The jacket was fitted at the waist and paired with contrasting, flared trousers.

Later in the evening, many did a double take, including this editor, when another white suit with wide-brim hat appeared on the red carpet. This time, we were looking at a Dior suit paired with millinery by Stephen Jones on actress Anna Sawai. The differences in her look were the addition of white gloves, no vest, and a more masculine cut.

While many will jump to who wore it best, both actresses looked sharp and amazing — a nice contrast from other full-on looks which graced the red carpet — perfectly suited for the event theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and dress code of “Tailored for You.”
