Discover the Christian Cowan FW26 — Fall/Winter 2026 — “Before the Door Opens” collection unveiled at New York Fashion Week, February 13, 2026.
For FW26, Cowan takes inspiration from the bedroom and dressing room — private sanctuaries hidden from view. He explores the ritual of getting dressed as both a vulnerability and performance, a private and sensual theatrical production.
Construction of the looks consisted of working with original 1950s textiles, antique lace trims, and traditional corsetry techniques. Cowan reimagined garments once meant to remain hidden from bullet bras, waist cinchers, and foundation pieces now taking center stage on the runway.

“I have always been fascinated by the moment before you step out the door,” said Christian Cowan. “There is something powerful about that private ritual, when you are alone with the mirror and deciding who you are about to be. This season, I wanted to expose that process and make it the spectacle itself.”
Accessories in the collection included headwear created by London-based milliner Harvy Santos and jewelry by Jennifer Behr.
And for fans of HBO Max’s “Heated Rivalry” series, we were fortunate to see actress Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova who plays “Svetlana” on the show, make her runway debut.
