Josh O’Connor Steals the Show at the BFI London Film Festival 2025 Premiere of “The Mastermind”

Stars Josh O’Connor and Eli Gelb were joined on the red carpet by Director Kelly Reichardt for the premiere of their film “The Mastermind” at the BFI London Film Festival 2025 on October 13, 2025.
O’Connor was dashing in a black, double-breasted suit with a buttercream-hued shirt and matching double-knotted tie.
About “The Mastermind” — 1970s America has witnessed a generational chasm and a society torn apart by Vietnam. But JB (O’connor) is oblivious to these cultural changes as he bumbles towards a major art heist. Reichardt’s (First Cow, Wendy and Lucy) smartly crafted drama offers a sensitive political critique of our times, and a quietly thoughtful examination of what we owe ourselves, as well as our familial and social tribes.
The film opens only in theaters October 17, 2025.
