[container][dropcap]T[/dropcap]he first of June brings so many exciting things. The feeling of summer is really setting in, kids are out of school, and vacations are in full force. There is just something about the start of summer that really gets me nostalgic. Even though as an adult I no longer get a summer break, the excited feeling is in the air. I can’t help but think back to the many summers I spent as a kid running around outside with endless daylight and the anticipation that our family vacation was around the corner.

We are celebrating nostalgia this June. We want to bring back all of those great childhood memories that summer summons. Whether it’s our favorite foods from childhood reinvented, or playing dress-up in our grandmother’s clothes, we are embracing the feeling of being a kid at heart in this issue and sharing stories that inspire this within.

My plan this summer is to not only reminisce on memories from my childhood but to also create new memories to reminisce about someday. The memories don’t have to be grandiose. I want to have a picnic, go on bike rides, visit farmer’s markets, have brunch on patios, and just spend quality time with the people I love embracing everything that is beautiful about summer. I hope you aim to do the same. These endless days will be gone before we know it. Let’s make the most of them! And join us all month long while we get nostalgic and embrace our inner kid spirits!

Happy start of summer!
